I am a performance maker and researcher, interested in multilingual, applied and autobiographical performance practices. I am currently a PhD Candidate and Commonwealth Scholar at the University of Warwick, focusing on methods for facilitating languaging in performance-making processes. For this research, I connect the Centre for Applied Linguistics and Department of Theatre and Performance Studies. My research is methodologically driven, as I am maker first and foremost, interested in the complex issues that are presented to us when creating new work that is representative of all the diversity that globalised, decolonised and post-conflict settings bring with them. I also believe in challenging the homogenising power of English in performance.
